Buyer’s guide

How to choose an AI calling agent in Dubai.

The criteria that actually separate one AI voice vendor from another — and the questions worth asking before you sign anything.

Most vendor pages say the same thing.

Every AI calling vendor claims natural conversation, instant response and higher conversion. Those claims are not a basis for a decision, because none of them are falsifiable in a demo.

What separates vendors in the UAE specifically is narrower and more checkable: whether the deployment is compliant here, whether the Arabic is genuinely usable, whether voice and messaging share the same context, and what happens at the moment a human needs to take over.

This page lists those criteria, and what a straight answer to each one looks like. Use it on us as well as on anyone else you are evaluating.

The seven criteria that matter in the UAE.

TDRA complianceMarketing calls in the UAE sit under TDRA Resolutions 56 and 57 of 2024: registered activity, approved local numbers, permitted calling hours, DNCR screening and a retrievable record. Ask how each of those is enforced, not whether the vendor is aware of them.
Arabic that holds upAsk to hear Gulf-dialect Arabic, not formal written Arabic read aloud, and not machine translation. Ask what happens mid-call when the caller switches language.
Voice and messaging togetherA caller who phones and then messages on WhatsApp is one lead. If voice and chat are separate products with separate histories, your team gets two half-conversations.
Qualification depthThere is a large gap between reading a script and establishing budget, timeline and intent in conversation. Ask what the agent does when the caller answers in an unexpected order.
Human handoffThe rule for transferring to a person should be configurable and explicit — on request, by topic, or by score — and the context gathered so far should travel with the call.
Evidence you can inspectRecordings, transcripts and per-call summaries. If you cannot audit what was said, you cannot improve it or defend it.
Local phone realityUAE numbers, UAE call routing, and someone who has already dealt with getting calls to land on +971 numbers. This is where deployments most often stall.

Where LeadPilot sits on those criteria.

LeadPilot is a voice and WhatsApp sales operator built for Dubai and the UAE. Nicole answers calls and messages on the same lead record, qualifies budget, timeline and intent in conversation, books into your real calendar, and transfers to a person on rules you set. Arabic, English and Russian are detected automatically rather than selected.

On compliance: calling stays inside the TDRA framework — permitted hours, approved local numbers, DNCR screening, suppression held at contact level rather than campaign level, and a retrievable record of every call. Our TDRA guide sets out the detail.

What we do not do is cold calling. LeadPilot is built for leads who have already raised a hand: enquiries, inbound calls, form submissions, and re-engaging contacts who went quiet.

The honest caveat: LeadPilot is a young product and we do not publish client names or performance figures we cannot evidence. If a vendor shows you a conversion number, ask what it is measured against and over how many calls — ask us the same.

Questions to ask any vendor, including us.

Can I hear an unedited recording of a real conversation in Arabic, end to end, including a part that went badly?

Which UAE number will the calls come from, and who registers the calling activity?

What exactly happens when the caller asks to speak to a human, and what does that person see when the call arrives?

If a contact opts out on WhatsApp, does that suppress calls too, and at what level is it stored?

What do I get after every call — recording, transcript, summary, structured fields, or just a status?

What is the fastest realistic path to a first live call, and what is needed from my side?

Frequently asked questions.

What should I compare when choosing an AI calling agent in Dubai?
TDRA compliance, genuine Gulf-dialect Arabic, whether voice and WhatsApp share one lead record, qualification depth, how human handoff is triggered, whether you get recordings and transcripts, and whether the vendor has dealt with UAE number routing.
Is AI calling legal in the UAE?
Yes, within the TDRA framework: registered activity, approved local numbers, calling inside permitted hours, DNCR screening, a lawful basis for the data, and a retrievable record of the call.
Does LeadPilot do cold calling?
No. LeadPilot works with leads who have already made contact — enquiries, inbound calls, forms — and with re-engaging existing contacts. It is not a cold outreach tool.
How can I tell if a vendor’s Arabic is good enough?
Ask for an unedited recording in Gulf dialect, end to end, and listen for what happens when the caller interrupts or switches to English mid-sentence. Scripted demos hide both.
What evidence should a vendor be able to show?
Recordings and transcripts you can audit, per-call summaries, and a clear answer on how any published figure was measured. Be sceptical of conversion claims without a denominator.
